Cannot change selected GP because of Policy

I requested a change of GPs on my plan which I wanted reversed and Discovery could not do this - the reason I got was that they cannot back date a change to which I was rather annoyed as I had previously had a change like this done as a "special request" so, I cannot understand why Discovery cannot assist this once again as I am in a situation and wanted the GPs to be reversed to Dr R Singh in Tongaat.

Rather disappointing and I have the option to change medical aids at work to Momentum and maybe will explore this option if Discovery is not accommodating and can make some amendments to their policies - like I said, this was done before, so I donot appreciate being told it cannot be done - as an exception, please consider my request to reverse the initial request back to Dr R Singh as the Secondary GP on my plan and not affecting my change limits for GPs
