Very Disappointed

I Have medical aid with discovery via my company scheme. I was on Maternity leave from September to the middle of January i was not notified by discovery of the time to change medical aid plan. being a first time mum my current medical plan does not suite my i wanted to upgrade to a plan that gives me more freedom for the sole purpose of being able to take my child to a paediatrician rather than a GP. i have approached discovery to assist me however they are not interested in assisting me and say i missed the cut off date surely they should send communication to me advising of the deadline . i have been with discovery for many years and pay R 3000 pm for medical aid . i am shocked at the lack of empathy they have toward me and utter disregard to assist me. should i not get assistance i will cancel altogether and move my business elsewhere.
