Keycare Plus- Lowest of low medical aid @ /-R2600

My partner joined discovery medical aid in December and as a result I cancelled my membership and joined his. Unfortunately for me, an incident occurred that required me to seek medical help. My GP requested hospital Authorisation as I sustained a head injury. The GP report advised I had an existing condition, which resulted in Rosanna's call. I explained to her that there is no existing condition and advised that I actually need to be admitted to run tests to establish the actual problem to which she replied that discovery does not cover for any tests that are done whilst being admitted as all tests are done at outpatients. I explained that in 2008 I had an unfortunate incident as well that required a series of tests, for which my previous medical aid covered, to which I was advised that I could not be covered as I am on the, and I quote "lowest of low medical aid plans. I would like to know how can we be charged /-R2600 pm, for the lowest of low option which no one disclosed, on joining nor on your marketing material that this is a lower than low plan. Further, why were we not advised that we could receive better plans on joining.
