Fedhealth Medical Scheme
Is this false advertsing???

My husband rejoined Fedhealth and one of the main reasons he joined is due to the fact that Fedhealth Evacs (if needed) contract workers within Africa, obviously he is a contract worker in Africa. So after the waiting period I called Fedhealth to just ask if they need to be aware that he is out of country or do I just phone in an emergency?
I was told that this benefit no longer exists - not according to my user guide for 2013, apparently notice was sent to members of this change, however myself being a member prior to my husband received no notification of such.
The bottom line is that this benefit is advertised on the user guide for 2013 and I feel it should be honoured.

I am very angry and disappointed with them for not even acknowledging any fault from their side or saying that they will honour this until the end of 2013 - as advertised. People take out particular medical aids/hospital plans for the benefits and needs that they require, so now if my husband gets ill or injured - we are stuck in a bind.

I find it very unfair of Fedhealth to offer no ampicable solution for us, so just be careful when sigining on. Other then this issue I have no probs with them.
