Fedhealth Medical Scheme
Where is Fedhealth when you need them?

We have been paying clients from Fedhealth Medical Scheme and paying member of this Medical Aid since 2001. My husband was now diagnosed with MDS and suddenly they do not want to approve the medicine suggested by the Specialist and they suggested another one. If you do your investigations the one that the doctor prescribed is far more efficient and has a better vitality rate as the one they suggest. Why can we not get what the doctor suggest we must have? This is unacceptable.By using an inferior or less competent treatment he will need more sessions to the hospital and more treatments - if you ask me. So what is the benefit to them? Please assist me in this as I do not understand their logic at all. And while I wanted to take out more medical aid for my children and their children as well, it gives me good reason never to recommend Fedhealth Medical Scheme - even though we never had a complaint before - probably because we did not need them before?!!!
