We have been regular (as regular as pensioners can be) for more than three years, it was the one restaurant, where we got both value for our money, and quality in portion, food and service. I regret our experience last Sunday was anything but what we expected.
Not your problem, but a 10 min ride from Kommetjie, was a nightmare 40min, but we persevered,
Again not your problem but there was a large party, and around 20 people, were well juiced, and all talking loudly.
Service did Slip due to the crowd.
Hake portions are now half of what we have been accustomed to being served, and overcooked.
My Wife discovered prawn feelers in her meal (Luckily she is not allergic to Shell Fish)
It took more than 15 minutes to get our waitron, so we could make her aware of our concern.
Her instinct was to immediately remove the offending feelers, which we objected to and asked to see the floor manager.
Here more delay, and when we noticed that the customary Manager/Restaurant Floor supervisor, was no longer in the Live Bait, but had to be called from another your restaurant.
Overall, we were left with the perception, that the business is now run by accountants, not restaurateurs.
