Cancelled appointment but claim submitted

At 16:21 we made an appointment to see a doctor at the Randridge Mall practice. The only time available was at 6pm which attracted a penalty rate. 7 minutes later we called to cancel as I had found an earlier appointment elsewhere. Yet this practice felt it necessary to process a claim for payment to Discovery who promptly processed it. This is utterly unacceptable. I have the cell phone call records for the day.
