My son age 2 was admitted to Kloof with a knee infection which had to be cleaned out surgically. On discharge the Dr prescribed anti biotic 4 times daily (q.i.d). The pharmacist only gave us half the required dose (I did argue with her but she insisted) As a result my son developed infection (AGAIN!!!) and had to have a second surgery. I reported it to the matron who said a case will be filed. Dont know what that does for my son. We have not even had an apology from the pharmacy and now we sit with an anesthetist co payment of R2000 for a surgery which should not have been necessary
