No acknowledgement about faulty bank account

I have been a discovery client since I can remember, now unfortunately I will move to a different medical aid because of Discovery's neglection to their clients.

I changed from banks August 2012. I filled in a form and emailed it to Discovery giving them the new details. Without telling me ANYTHING - they stopped the debit order and also stopped my coverage!!

January 2013, I decided to draw bank statements to budget for the new year. I then noticed that there was no trace of Discovery's premium since I changed banks. Immediately I paid for January and 5 min later, I received an sms stating that I owe them R2246!

This is rediculous! And if I refuse to pay for their mistake, they activate a default on my credit record.

I hope someone can assist me in this matter.
