Koffie Tijd
Completely ignored by staff

On Sunday, 10 February, we attempted to have lunch at Koffie Tijd at the Malanseuns Nursery on Atterbury Road. The Restauraunt was quite busy, but there were vacant tables and we proceded to take a seat inside. We were completely ignored by the waiters. After about 5 minutes, I asked for a menu, after having to call one of the waiters who was standing having a chat nearby. We selected what we wanted to eat, closed the menues, and waited. In the meantime, the table behind us called one of the waiters to ask them please to fetch their drinks which they could see sitting on the counter. We heard them commenting to each other about this and they decided not to eat anything and ordered the bill. It was at this time that we also decided to get up and leave without having ordered anything and waiting a total of about 10 minutes.

There was no visable sign of any manager supervising what was happening, and the waiters, although many of them, didn't seem to know what they were doing. To walk into any establishment where you need to be served and to be ignored for 10 minutes (other than when you yourself asked for a menu) is completely unacceptable
