When I read all the complaints re Discovery, I am appalled to say the least. I would change medical aids in a heartbeat if it were not for the fact that my company pays half!
I've had an ongoing claim which I have been querying since 7 Jan'14. Their website said a certain maxillo-facial/oral surgeon was covered in full but of course they managed to wrangle their way out of covering this same doctor's account in full! People please be VERY careful of what you read on the website as it's very misleading and if a doctor's name comes up as 'fully covered', do yourself a favour and DOUBLE CHECK!!
Even worse than this is the PATHETIC service I have experienced by their call centre. I have had to make countless phonecalls and been promised countless times that they would call me back with answers etc. Not ONE of the 4 consultants I dealt with had the common DECENCY to call me back. I am seriously peed off with the whole situation. If Duane, Avery, Gadija or Dale cared at all about keeping customers happy, one of them would have at least honoured their promise to call back at the promised time. Whoever runs this inefficient operation should send all the staff on a few courses!
