I sent a request through to discovery for them to change my bank debit order as well as to cancel keyfit (mail ref no: 565800697). I clearly said in the mail that I will not have enough funds on the 1st and it should be changed to my daughters banking details as she has authorized this. I got a confirmation mail to say that they have updated the details, consultant: Thami Mboni Ref# Supplied: 2705396171
This afternoon I get a mail stating that my membership is now suspended & that I will not be able to utilize it until payment is received. I am quite upset about this considering I had a doctors appointment tomorrow & it was clearly discoverys fault. Had they informed me that they will still debit my account I would have asked my daughter to put the funds into my bank account instead. It is appalling how discovery treats their senior citizens. I am a pensioner yet I pay the same rate that of which a higher income earner pays & now even in an emergency I won't be able to utilise my medical aid because of one missed payment which was their fault. I will now be looking for alternative medical aid.
