Lancet passes the buck to me

On 16 July 2012 I gave birth to my daughter and she became very ill. the doctor order blood tests from Lancet, all whilst I was still in hospital. Any accounts during my hospitalization should have been covered by Medihelp as they claim to cover 100% hospital expenses.
Lancet contacted me a few times during 2012 and 2013 and said that Medihelp didn't pay an account of almost R5000 because Lancet submitted the claim after the 90 day grace period. Medihelp claims that they never received it and after several mails and calls, I was ASSURED by Lancet that the matter will be resolved between the two companies.
I received a letter sometime in 2013 telling me that they will be possessing my stuff to the value of the outstanding account, where after I called them and it was also then, SORTED out.

Today, a collections agency for Lancet contacted me regarding the account and tells me that I have been handed over to lawyers to pay this account and I have a warning on my and my husbands credit record.

I should not be responsible for this. All this time no one has done anything to pay this account or to resolve this between the two companies.

Please resolve this.
