This is not my first bad report of this medical aid and i so regret that i decided to join them. My son had a dental procerure done in Jan 2013 and while he was in Theatre the dr called me in to show me that he had an abscess under his teeth hence he was not eating well and constantly in pain and told me that the procedure was going to take longer. The account was sent to Bonitas where they short paid it and said because they only pay for 60mins in theatre i mean dont they take into consideration that there was a complication. I am pregnant and sitting with so many accounts that this medical aid has not paid I am constantly on the phone with them regarding claims and this is making everything so difficult for me during my pregnancy. People out there looking for a medical should never join Bonitas they are the WORST MEDICAL aid when you premiums are missed they are quick to call you but they can never pay your accounts and yet alone listen to you. I have even resorted to taking them to the Medical council.
