Incompetence - changing scheme adding dependant

I have experienced a next level of incompetence from BestMed these past few days.

We got married last year September and my wife moved to my medical scheme. She has chronic knee problems dating back to when she was very young. We notified them of ALL of this. We submitted a request to move to a full medical scheme (Beat3) early in December.

By January I had heard nothing, so I phoned on 06/01 and they apparently "never received my mail", I forwarded it (sent 13 December) and they upgraded us. I phoned on 13/01 to confirm, but they never thought of sending the new cards. My wife went in for an appointment and had to pay herself, even though we supposedly have full coverage... so what is the massive monthly sum going to?

Today my wife phones them and after 40 minutes on the phone, they still cannot actually tell her if she's covered by the medical. I SPECIFICALLY checked if she would be. It seems they "never received the documentation" specifying her knee problems.

This is exceptionally poor service and now we're waiting to hear back from them. After the incompetence of the call centre so far, I'm not holding my breath.
