Unpaid emergency claims!

On the 20th November 2013 my son broke his arm at school was admitted to Louis leipoldt Hospital through the emergency unit. He then went to the have an op to put k-wires in his arm because if they didn't do the op his bones wouldn't have grown properly. The bill eventually came for Dr. T Parker for the some of R3118 of which discovery only paid R1500 and I'm liable for the rest. Which I don't have! My understanding is that if things get done during and emergency its covered in full, now the medical aid is telling me that the doc don't charge there rates they not paying him. This is utter nonsense. Because now my son has an op on the 7thto take out the k-wires and I'm probably gonna have the same problem with the bills. Called the call centre yesterday to sort out this matter and this girl Jermaine said she would call me back with feedback the same day and till now, I haven't heard anything. This is like seriously bad service. I don't see why if they wanna make a big deal why couldn't they take the money from my specialist benefit of last year to pay the doctor. The doctor will probably hand me over to lawyers because I won't be able to pay him anytime soon. Frustrated
