Oblivion Wine Bar And Restaurant
Discrimination & Judgemental and Prejudice

14 December 2013, I visit the Oblivion Wine Bar and Restaurant for a meal, glass of wine and a relaxing evening with a friend. After being seated for 5 minutes we ordered drinks, and decided on the food for the evening while sipping our drinks. The manager approached me and requested that I leave the venue, finish up my drinks and my friend and I had to leave. He mentioned that the Owner instructed him to remove us as I was involved in an altercation or caused a disturbance at the venue in the past and consequently had been banded from the venue. I spoke to the manager and informed him that I have never been involved in any such behaviour at his venue and that I have frequent the venue for the past 5 years. Regardless of my explanation the Manager proceeded to escort us out of the venue. The fact that we had just orders drinks while deciding on our meal of choice. I have never been banned from Oblivian ever. This left me embarrassed and confused but also down right angry for being accused of behavior which was not part of my character. The only conclusion has to be that I am a Coloured Male and that I have been discriminated against on that basis. I am flabbergasted
