Unfair, we feel ripped off!

My husband and I make an effort to go for our assessments twice a year (Vitality Check, nutrition and fitness). We do this to keep on track health wise, but obviously also to earn our Vitality points so that we can stay on gold level. We always usually do our second assessment in December. Yesterday while we were busy with our assessments, we were casually told that the points for these assessments wouldn't be carried over to next year. We wasted nearly R1, 000 and over 2 hours of our time for nothing!! Apparently a newsletter went out regarding the carry-over of points, but we are bombarded with so much communication and reading material that we did not see this in the newsletter. We feel we should have been told when we booked our assessments, that the points would only last for 3 weeks!! Why on earth would we have gone now, when we could have gone in January and benefitted from the points? I called the Call Centre to ask if they could assist, and if they could carry over the points, or carry the assessments over to January. They were unwilling to assist us. We would like Discovery to please address this as we feel this is very unfair and poor customer service.
