Causing more trauma than needed

I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer which is a pmb condition. I needed a laparoscopic hysterectomy. The medical aid does not want to approve the procedure. One of the consultants claim it is not a life threatening disease and therefor it does not qualify for a pmb procedure. My operation is 14:00 Monday 2 December 2013 and I still do not have authorization for my operation.
