This has been going since Sept. 2012. Several Hellopeter.com COMPLAINTS hv been written, every time Discovery responded, made promises. But simply claims dept. is not cooperative. Since aug 9th 2010 I hv been diagnosed with a crhonic thyroid disorder. Discovery agreed to pay for the lab test. They have done so far but only for 2013, but still due to me is 2010, 2011 and 2012. IN total 6 thyroid tests!! Discovery replys QUOTE However, our claims team are finding it difficult to reprocess the older claims (especially 2010 and 2011) as our system does not allow claims older than two years to be reprocessed UNQUOTE. I mail Ms. Frederick about every 2 wks, she replys most of the time, but recently she has been promoted I believe and the new person in charge is??? maybe not interested, or simply not bothered?? As with all computer systems some things can be overidden manually, if claims taem finds it too difficult to do something about it. Really this is dragging on and on and... Also my visit to the endocrinologist is NOT being payed for. Reason: a GP can handle this. The thyroid disorder I have is a very serious one, one that cannot be handled by a GP but needs a specialist.
