Im a financial advisor (NOT a medical broker). My client's mother needed help to continue her membership after her husband died end June 2013. I phoned the Bonitas call centre this morning and explained the situation with the correspondence between the executor's office and Bonitas. The first lady, although very friendly and willing to help, told me that there is no record of any continuation request and that a new med aid must be taken. I then communicated with the executer's office and got hold of correspondence. This was emailed to me. I then phoned Bonitas again and explained the situation again. This time around, after all the security checks was done, Nthabiseng delved deeper and accessed the correspondence since June 2013. She then proceeded to summarize exactly what is still needed for the widow to continue with Bonitas/Medscheme.

I will not disclose the reference number or name of the first conversation or lady. Her motive wasn't devious. However if I phoned the widow with the info that she gave me, she would have been very distraught.

The second lady's name is Nthabiseng and the reference number is 211113QFJ4BL.
