I booked away4the weekend2spoil my boyfriend as it was our anniversary&decided2try coastlands.when I caled the guy who assisted me, didn't allow me to reserve my booking with my credit card he told me I have24hours2make payment or I would lose the booking. Monday i called&a lady assisted me&booked the room on my card, why this couldn't be done the first time I don't know. On our arrival we get2the room&there's no hot water. We called for over20mins&couldn't get through2reception, I then had2call a different department&ask them to transfer me&the reply was we will send someone up&the water was still warm. I asked4an ocean view but was pointless as the windows in the room where dirty we kept the curtains closed4the weekend. Again disappointing that a hotel like coastlands can't clean their windows. There was wood pieces laying outside the window like it had been eaten away from the building by ants. Saturday&Sunday we had no hot water. We often book away to Durban&when we do we like knowing we are going2enjoy our say regardless of the price, don't understand why charge the rate you do when you can't provide us with an experience that we could walk away saying it was worth it.
