Sent a final demand, with no account

I have just recieved a final demand from ARA from their client Life hospital. I have never even recieved a account. I was not even aware of a short fall. The hospital stay was about a year ago. Apparently the medical short falled the hospital R850. I was never notified of a shortfall, by any means of communication, until a lawyers letter arrived from ARA demanding money in 7 days or they will summons me. It strikes me Life hospitals admin staff are as useless as their hospitals. Cant even be bothered to send out accounts or a courtesy call to in form me there was a short fall. You people are a disgrace! I wonder if your conduct is even legal I wonder if it is in scope of the consumer protection act. If any lawyer knows if this practice is legal please leave a comment on this post. Further more when you contact ARA, Life's attourneys you cant even speak to a manger you are left to hold for 10 min then they cut you off. Very poor conduct. Rather use a Netcare Hospital at least they send out accounts on time.
