Pre Authorisation

My dr and hopital applied for pre authorisation yesterday already for an operation that needs to take place tomorrow. 2 Years ago I broke my right foot and had a big op on my foot. ( I was then a memeber of another medical aid) Now almost 2 years later the K-Wires in my foot is coming out on their own and it is very uncomfortable and painfull and everyday I am dreading the possibility of the wires sticking through the skin. I still dont have authorisation. I did disclose my injury and operation the day that I applied for memebership with Fedhealth - my right foot was not excluded by Fedhealth and I did have a waiting period of 3 months in genereal. My membership started on 1 Dec 2012. Now my previous excisiting condition is an issue - why then not exclude it from benefits from the beginning? Why does my honesty now all of a sudden be "invesitgated" If only FEDHELATH will go through the trouble to look at my application for and medical questionairre I completed they will see that I did disclose it from start! Now less than 24 hours away from my scheduled operation I dont have authorisation and neither the money to pay for the opertaion myself!
