Non paying of authorized treatments

I went for a knee operation 3 years ago, and Fedhealth were brilliant (I only had to pay R800 hospital admission). I went for a smaller operation last year and the experience was completely different. I ended up paying in around 5k. Fedhealth have completely changed.

One of the bonus' of the fedhealth hospital plan is that they cover 1mth physio after the operation. Both operations were pre-authorized for this. 1st one was paid to the provider, without hastle. Now, they didn't pay the provider because of a number of excuses. 1st: her banking details weren't on the invoice - Fixed, 2nd: She needed to register with Fedhealth - Fixed, 3rd: She needed to provide 3mths banks statements, etc. at this point the provider gave up, i paid them directly and tried to claim back. I have now tried this twice and now Fedhealth claim this is a duplicate claim.

I've had it, and will be moving medical aids.

I'm extremely disappointed too. I championed Fedhealth after my first operation, and encouraged everyone to join them. Now, I'm disgusted at the amount I had to pay in and how much hassle's I'm having. They've gone backwards and are now on par with the other shocking medical aid.
