I lost a pair of my spectacles and I was advised that 80% of the amount would be covered as my glasses were insured for free. They worked out the amount I had to pay to R605.40, I was happy to pay that amount so the lady took my credit card and swiped the full amount, after it went through, they said I shouldn't have paid the full amount by credit card, R405.40 of it which goes to the insurance company had to be paid in cash. so they would refund R405.40 to my credit card and I would have to withdraw it and pay it cash. I go to the bank and my balance reflects that R605.40 had gone off to Specsavers but their refund doesn't show and yet they still expect me to withdraw R405.40 and pay it to them. I go back to the lady to explain this, instead of apologising for all the inconvenience caused, she asks me to get a statement inside the bank and tells me that my R605.40 is not on their account, I show her the sms and she tells me that the sms doesn't help her in any way as my funds are not in their account.

I am still stunned by the lack of remorse for their mistake. I need my glasses by the 18th and I can't get them until they sort this mistake of theirs out. Its disgusting!
