On the 24th October I phoned the credit card department of FNB to get a final figure to close my daughters credit card account. They gave me an amount. We then drove to Howard Centre and went to the branch there to do the closure. I drew cash and paid the amount required in full. The card was then cut up and we were told it would be cancelled within 48 hours and we thought that that would be the end of it. However my daughter got an sms a few days later to say that a purchase was still pending. She paid that amount in full as well. Today she got another sms to say that interest and charges now have to be paid. When she phoned them back and said that the card was closed the lady told her that no documents were filed to close the card and no info was recorded regarding the closing amount we had received previously. As far as I am concerned this is pure incompetance on their part. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. I do not see why she should pay any further on an account that should have be closed on the 24th Octobe
