First Car now taking deposit from Credit Card

I have been using First Car for many years with only good experiences, however ths time when I booked a car, they took the R2000 deposit upfront, rather than blocking the amount as in the past.
This has not only taken money from my account, but caused me to also have a? 7.50 bank charge. Now the credit card has taken the money from my bank account and when you refund the amount to my credit card I will have to contact the credit card company to refund the money to my bank account.
Equally, I do not see why I have to wait for the refund, the refund could have been done in the shop back to the credit card.
I am most unhappy that First Car has moved to this, as it has no benifit to the customer. It only beneifits First Car
First Car T&C still show that they will block these amounts, I should have recieved an email or a warning that the process had been changed.
I have just made a booking query for a long term rental where they want to take R15798. This is totally unacceptable and sadly means I will no longer be using First Ca
