Handed Over For an Accout That I Didn't Know About

Earlier this year, around May, I took my son to Fourways Life because he has asthma. My payments didn't go through via medical aid, so I had to make a payment later on to Dr. Frankel and Richards. Having made the payment, I then received another letter for the very first time in August this year. The letter claimed that I still had an outstanding amount of close to R800 to pay. The letter also stated that the account would be handed over for collection within the next few days. I have a problem with this because this was the first I knew of this other amount and already I was being handed over. Then, I got a call from Blake collections this week, I spoke to Anita Singh who told me my account had been handed over to them for collection. An account, which as I have said, was only brought to my attention late August, with no statement to even indicate what exactly I am being charged for. The accounts department at Life Healthcare is not bothered to answer their phone, so I have had to take this route.
