Handed over due to Accounts Dept incompetence

Acc. No. Y3999445 I received a threatening letter and an account for the first time in March 2013 for a service provided whilst in hospital for an emergency operation in April 2012. After much research and pushing my medical aid company, it has been established that they, like me, never received an account from Lancet. As the account was more than a year old they are refusing to settle this amount now (justifiably). I am on the top medical plan and have Gap Cover so there is no reason this would not have been paid had the account been submitted timeously. In spite of keeping in constant contact with Lancet Accounts, and their assurance that they would not hand me over, they handed me over to an attorney who has instructed me not to deal with Lancet directly. This same attorney has not had the courtesy to acknowledge receipt of several submissions of letters and all necessary evidence regarding this matter. Get your accounts Dept.in order Lancet and stop wasting everyone else's time. It's a disgrace!!
