I am beyond disgusted with the Service and billing structure of Pretoria East Emergency Unit.
My daughter is now 8 months old, a few hours ago I found she had blood gushing out of her ear, we rushed her to the emergency unit.
The Dr on call examined my daughter, I explained in full detail that my daughter had gr-omits done 2weeks ago, that we had been to the specialist and he confirmed that the gr-omits looked fine. He then examined her, said he could not see anything as there was too much blood! He then called a nurse to clean my daughters Ear, she cleaned the outside she was barley finished when he stormed in and looked inside her ear again! this time he confirmed the following: 1. He can see the blood is coming from the gr-omit!
2. There is actually to much blood to do anything.
He then suggested I CALL THE ENT THE FOLLOWING DAY!!!
He saw all of this after the nurse cleaned the outside of her ear???
He then stuck a piece of cotton wool in her ear and said we fine to go home!!!
I've waisted more than 2 HOURS MY LITTLE GIRL IN PAIN AND A COTTON WOOL STUCK IN HER ear and PAID R900!!! FOR WHAT??? I'm appalled, its about how these people get away with it
