Poor Sevice may have contributed to death

On the 7th July a very dear friend was attacked in his home by a robber. My friend and his wife lay asleep in bed when they were robbed and stabbed while still in bed. Netcare 911 was called to attend. My friend was stabbed in his forearm, foot and upper thigh which was bleeding profusely. He lay on the floor with his wife and 14 year old son trying to stop the bleeding, both of whom were stabbed as well. All this was going on while the ambulance waited outside as they needed the SAPS to attend first to declare the home safe to enter. This all while the family insisted on them providing their help. The home, by the way was not in an area known for violence or declared a state of emergency. This was the upmarket suburb of Ridgeworth in Bellville opposite the Tygervalley mall. My friend lay on the floor and bled to death. However I suppose the bill for doing nothing at all will nodoubtedly be forthcoming with no prompting whatsoever.
Thank you Netcare, thank you for nothing. If we had known that you needed a police escort we would have called someone who cared for their patients just a tad more than you. Next time we will certainly know better.
