I have repeatedly sent a query through to Discovery about a Dentist account. It was not responded to. Then I phoned the call center and found that Sooveshern thinks that a Psychiatrist is an allied practitioner. To make matters worse, I was prescribed medication that is supposed to be on chronic, and because the doctor didn't tell me that, I now have to pay cash for all my prescribed meds for the rest of the year (I am on the BEST plan with Discovery, not to mention having an Insurance, Life and Vitality AND Card with them, talk about loyal!). The chronic department were quite rude and aggressive in saying that there is NO WAY they will reverse the claims that should have been paid under chronic, so basically I am stuck with no medical aid now, jsut because some doctor didn't advise me correctly! Emails sent to the addresses on the website are never answered, if I am hospitalised, there are never any private wards! Discovery take R6, 000 from me every month and this is how I am treated. It's shocking and I am so disappointed in you guys. The lack of knowledge, the attitude and the messed up processes of both Health and Insure are very concerning to say the least. What a nightmare!
