BAD communication puts me at no cover risk

For some reason yet to be disclosed to me by my bank - my debit order to Discovery was paid and then reversed without my knowledge. When checking my account the DO had gone off on the 1st, however they still suspended me on Saturday 8th July WITHOUT any communication of doing so. Off I go Sat at 6pm to get my chronic medication only to inadvertadely discover that I had been suspended - therefore no drugs for me and of course if I was in an accident with my two small children on the way home = also no cover for me!
HOW can they suspend someone on a weekend and then tell me via the call centre that 'sorry but your sms will come through on Monday' - I was SO lucky to have found out in a round about way because I HATE to think what would have happened if I needed emergency treatment for my children and the hospital would not have taken me!
Discovery Health once again proved to me that they do not do their utmost to cover and care for their customers. With all that technology and fancy claims rules programming systems that they have - all they end up achieving is making sure they only pay the bare minimum on claims and now of course simply cut you off without first communicating!
