Poor services

I signed a contract with Mixit events in May 2012 for my wedding that they would give me the venue and cater for my guest on the 16 March 2013. I have paid R 24 000 upfront and they call me today (21/01/2013) that I have to move my wedding date to the 9th of March or the 23rd because there would be road works on that area. So the road works would affect the venue, there won't be water or toilets available. I called them today telling them that I'm going to hire mobile toilets for my guest and Ieda told me that they going to need water for cooking so i need to postpone for the next day maybe. Firstly they havent sent me any proof that there would be road work from the municipality and they not putting into consideration the fact that i have already paid deposit for photographor, dressed, suits, accomodation for my guests and hired cars but they only expect me cancel everything. how about the cost that are involved? they not giving me straight answers towards this stuation and i feel like they have given my date to someone else.
