So much for road side assistance

On Friday evening at about 17:45, I made a call to the Momentum Road Side Assistance help line as I had broken down at the Umhlanga/ Gateway turn off, by a high risk high-jacking zone - and this is one of the benefits of being a member. The lady who I dealt with asked for my ID number, which I gave her, she then said that she couldn't find me on their system and asked if I could give her my policy/ membership number. I then told her that my membership card was in the boot of my car and I could not access my boot as my car had cut out completely, therefore I couldn't unlock my car and that I couldn't even put my hazard lights on. Her reply "sorry ma'am, but I can't help you." And that was the end of the conversation and assistance I received.
So much for a help line or a road side assistance benefit that is supposed to be included in membership. I am the main member, which means that you defiantly have my ID number. I am a recently new member, having moved over from Discovery as your premiums are lower. Even though you pay a bit more for Discovery, I have never had a problem with their service. This incident has made me regret the day I changed medical aids.
