Debit order just made with no authorisation!

On 01 June 2013 without any authorisation from myself Discovery Debited R824 from my account I called through today and spoke to Palesa and she explained that this was deducted due to an incorrect pay out being made to me in 2010?? Can someone please explain to me what this is for and why it was only detected 3 years later??? Could you not have called me and asked me to pay the money back? How can you just deduct R824 from someones account wiuthout thier authorisation or even informing them? This is what do!
