Good day

Less than a month ago, I changed companies. Whilst doing so I filled in a form which prompted me to continue forward with my medical aid on a private level or stop my medical aid. I stated on that form that I need to continue with the medical aid as I am a diabetic and I need my insulin.

About 2 weeks ago, I went to the GP and with surprise I was told that my medical aid was deactivated. I spoke to Chanelle Abdoll at Discovery and she confirmed that it was deactivated, although she could not locate the form where I chose not to carry on with discovery.

When I sent them an email stating that I am not happy about this, the only response I received was that I need to complete a changing of banking details form which is irrelevant to my issue on hand.

This is horrible customer service.
