I layed a complaint on 9/12/2012 regarding issues I had with Gems. A consultant responded to my complaint on 24/04/2013. I was guaranteed that the maximum time period to look into the matter was 120 days but the matter was not resolved. The medical aid subscription was cut because of one of the matters mentioned in the complaint and it was due to outstanding fees. I am currently still waiting for a response from Gems regarding this matter. I had to pay the outstanding amount to have my subscription reinstated which I am content with because I need to be covered by the medical aid. The other matter is still unresolved.
Furthermore CMS (council for medical aid schemes) has done absolutely nothing regarding the matter, they haven't even tried to contact me or given any feedback as to what they have done. It's disappointing to have to pay so much for a service every month and be treated this way in return. Thank you Gems
