Disappointing service

I gave birth by c-sec in February after receiving the appropriate pre-authorisations etc. I had called Discovery twice as the second time I had to change the procedure to c-sec. I was told everything was in order but because my gynae charges above medical aid rates I would have to pay a "portion". I received my gynae bill of R17, 000 which wasn't paid. Half of the paediatrian and anethesist accounts were paid. Anyway to make a long story short I emailed and faxed discover and despite their automated responses it took more than a week for the first reply. Discovery then paid R3, 100 of a R17, 000 account! I was devasted!! And still am!! My monthly contributions incl the baby were just under R4, 000 per month. Yet discovery didn't even pay that much of my account. I understand that my gynae charges above medical aid rates but is R3, 100 really what others charge for a cesarean?? I have been a member since 2007 and assumed that accounts like these while in hospital were covered!! I expected to maybe pay half the account but honest to didn't expect to pay just under R15, 000!!! Discovery has now turned a very happy joyous occasion into one of stress and unhapiness
