I changed my medical aid 1 November 2012, discovery billed me for my previous medical aid as well as my new medical aid. it was agreed that i would be reimbursed for the one payment.
6 months later i have still not been reimbursed.. i can guarantee that had i missed a payment and needed health cover they probably would not have covered me, yet i am supposed to be patient with them. my patience has run out and i WANT MY REFUND...
I am tired of waiting, getting told that the money will reflect in a day or two, ive been getting this response every 2 weeks for 6 months. that means on average ive spoken to about 12 different consultants.
it turned out they had wrong banking details for me, again incompetence from the data capturers they have on their side, the frustrating thing is nobody will pick up the phone and say sorry maam but the payment is not going through... NO i have to pick up the phone to find out each time why it has not been done.
I am extremely frustrated and all i want is for this to be sorted out NOW...
If this is not sorted out immediatly i will take this a step further and lay a complaint with the ombudsman as well as the consumer tribunal...
