Bad service/ dirty rooms

After a first bad experience at the Protea Hotel in Tygervalley, I was asked by Brenda (the hotel manager at the time) to please return and experience exceptional service and she promised to make it worth our while. We decided to take her up on her offer and spent 6 nights there over the festive period. Check in was amazing and professional. The room upon entering appeared clean and refreshing. Our fist night there we decided to move the kids beds together because they like to sleep close to each other. What a shocker. Dead spiders, cockroachers, webs, dust so thick you could draw on it like sand, under the beds. It was disgusting. I went to the receptionist to complain and was told that the staff had left and that it couldnt be cleaned until the next day. The next day came... same story, but this time there was gekko droppings on the walls as well. Complained again - this time they sent somebody. Why does this happen? It was my sons 8th birthday during our stay. I asked for something to be in the room when we returned from our day out. There was nothing. Why did they then promise something. The bath plug was not working, SO taking a bath wasnt possible. WHY WHY WHY?
