E carefull of sony screens

I bought a klv40cx520 TV the screen has just packed up and i have been quoted R4000 to get it replace, i bought a name brand expecting it to last, i would preferably been better of buying a Synotec that a least comes with a 5 year guarantee instead i have an ornament. This TV is 18 months old i am sure that if i bought an Aim or any no big name brand i would have had a better guarantee an would have been a lot happier than i am at the moment.
