Samsung does not deliver on promise

My Samsung P1000 tablet is out of warranty and I cannot enjoy it's functionality as much any more because of it's cracked charger port.

First I went to the Samsung store in Canal Walk where the manager said he could not help me, then to a Samsung approved out-of-warranty repair centre. The cost to repair was almost more than a new one! A post on Facebook for help led to one of the Samsung people saying they would help me. After much effort from my side phoning and e-mailing them, someone eventually agreed that the problem was in fact not solved and would send a courier to pick up the tablet and have a look at in Johannesburg were he would oversee the results and report back to me.

This was last week Friday. No courier. No calls and no other type of communication to explain why the courier has not come. I even phoned and the consultant said that this man would phone me back!

What a disappointment from Samsung! When I saw their response on Facebook I thought that finally a big corporate such as themselves cared about the individual and tried to help where they can! I clearly explained that I am not looking for a free ride and am willing to pay for repairs! Very very poor service
