Lifetime guarantee that cant be met

I bought a vacuum cleaner from the company with a lifetime guarantee. the unit cost over R8000. for the past 9 months i have been trying to contact them via email and telephone with no success. my vacuum filters are clogged and the perishable spares finished but i cant get hold of anyone to get new stock from making this very expensive gadget useless although it was guaranteed 20 years of service.
