Refusal to repair under guarentee

We bought a Bosch vacuum cleaner from Tafelberg Furnishers in Cape Gate on 30 December 2012. On 16 April the machine was taken back for repairs because it smelled as if the motor was burning out. We were told we can collect it on 10 May. My husband collected it, received no further instructions and no paper work. We were told the motor had been replaced.
On 10 June the machine seized to work and once again it was returned. On 27 June we were informed that the vacuum cleaner will not be repaired under the 12 month guarantee. The Bosch representative informed us we needed to replace the filters and re-usable bag every three months. This is not stated in the instruction manual. Apart from which the machine is used once a week in a household with carpets in only two of the bedrooms, the filter and bag is cleaned before every use.
On purchasing the vacuum cleaner we specifically asked for a machine with re-usable bags. How can a guarantee not be honoured? In less than six months this machine were in for repairs just under six weeks. My cheep R600 machine lasted five years. I am unhappy and extremely disappointed.
The representative also never contacted us, we needed to phone them.
