48hr turnaround for faults - what a joke

Electronics and household app.

We bought a Samsung double door fridge freezer and recently when cleaning the freezer which was frosting over (its a frost free freezer - alarm bell number one) I noticed a crack running horizontally around the entire freezer. Clearly a manufacturing fault, I contacted Game who we bought the appliance from, the salesman, Ivan Livingstone immediately addressed the problem and contacted Liptronics who are the agents for Samsung in Cape Town who within 24 hours sent around a technician who confirmed that there was a definite fault with the appliance and reported the problem to Samsung Johannesburg who have a 48 hour turnaround policy for queries. This problem was reported in April and since then they have said that if we pay R7.5k, they will replace the fridge, yet we only paid R8k for the fridge in the first place. In fact, to buy the newer fridge on special at game would be less than R10k, so why would we want to pay that amount of money when the fridge is faulty!!!

Come on Samsung, we expect better than this, do the right thing and replace the faulty appliance, how much longer do we have to wait for this problem to be resolved, we are not the only ones with this problem.
