Three 2P PVRs in two years!

I have complained about this to Multichoice but my complaint ended no where since their staff seem to think that a 2P PVR is ment to last just over a year and then suddenly die. My husband and I had to replace our PVR three times in 2 years! The first time just after the end of the one year warranty. Mutlchoice sold us a refurbished one (without telling us what was wrong with the first one, it might have cost R100 to fix but they insisted we need a new one). Since it was refurbished it only came with a 3 months warranty. 6 months later it died and I went to Multichoice in Umhlanga. They told me again that I needed a new one (obviously!) to which a vehemently objected and complained. How can an electronic device that costs R1 500 only lasts one year? Unless they are manufactured to break right after the warranty has expired (which I'm beginning to think must be the case). I reluntanctly bought another refurbished PVR and I am expecting it to break within the next few months like the previous one. Please explain why your PVRs have such a limited life span? I for one can't wait to see a proper competitor to DSTV, I will be the first to leave!
