Samsung Galaxy S2 firmware update data problem

Electronics and household app.

Samsung released a firmware update around the 20th of August for the Samsung Galaxy S2 (GT-I9100). The problem is that my data does not want to work now. The only way I can send and receive data is over wifi, which is not freely available in RSA.

Samsung says there is nothing they can do to fix it and there is no option to load the previous software back on. MTN also cannot help me with the problem.

The Samsung service centre wants to charge me R480 just to try and fix the problem with no guarantee that my data connection on the cellphone will work.
