Cellphone repair cell c

I have a Galaxy Note which I got when I upgraded in august last year. It seems to ahve dropped a pixel. I have tried to get it reoaired by cell c but have had not satisfaction. Is there no way that Samsung can assist a person. I have been told that it will take between 4-6 weeks for the phone to go in for repairs. Why must it go in so long?
